Can a a leak cure itself?

Last week the low pressure alert showed as soon as the system activated, after the car had been parked a couple of days. The pressure in one tire had dropped to about 1/4 nominal. The tire shop checked and could find no leaks having pumped it to nominal. It has now stayed at nominal for 5 days, doing local running. Is it possible that the valve went bad and the shop rapid pressurization straightened it out somehow?
