Cruise Control / Adaptive Cruise Control
Informational — For your awareness
What It Means
Cruise control is active (green/white light) or there is a fault in the cruise control system (amber/yellow light). Adaptive cruise control may also be unavailable if the radar sensor is blocked by snow, ice, or mud.
Common Causes
- Switch or button fault on steering wheel
- Brake light switch fault (cruise disengages when brakes are applied)
- Clutch switch fault (manual transmission)
- Radar sensor blocked or misaligned (adaptive cruise)
- Vehicle speed sensor fault
- ABS/traction control fault affecting cruise operation
Can I Still Drive?
Yes — cruise control is a convenience feature. The vehicle drives normally without it. Check if radar sensor (usually behind front grille or windshield) is clean and unobstructed for adaptive cruise.
