Currently traveling across the US and stopped about 30 minutes SE of Bakersfield to rest for the night. As I was getting ready for bed I noticed this scratching noise coming from behind the dash. It stops if I hit the dash or make noise in the car in the car or start the engine. I’ve moved from the wooded area I was staying at, but it started making the same noises where I parked a few miles away.
Does anyone recognize the noise? If it’s not car related and likely a critter what can I do about it?
Really worried for the wiring in the car seeing as I need to make it to Georgia in the next few days for my Sister’s graduation ceremony.
