2003 Pajero/Montero Worth Lifting 2"

I got it cheap a couple years ago, had a fair bit of fun off road with it but I've always had big issues with ground clearance compared to mates with Patrols and Landcruisers. They reckon a lift kit is a good idea, the largest I can get practically is 2". This just seems like a tiny difference though, is this really going to help? Anyone done a lift on this vehicle who can give their opinion?
