Anyone else get more enjoyment from their car when it's kind of busted?

For the last three months my old e90 msport's dash has been lit up like a Christmas tree. I know it needs some new pads, a new wheel speed sensor, oil change, an engine clean, and a few other things. And for some reason, I've been driving the absolute poop out of it. Squeezing every burble out of every downshift, running it into the ground. Just gunning it.

While she was in the garage, I was planning all these drives I want to do. But I went to pick her up, everything's shiny new and smooth, and.. that feeling just disappeared lol. Random observation, psychology is a funny thing.
